Final Moments of Hazrat Haji Ahmad Nakhuda Sahib رحمه الله
During his final illness someone who was with him, saw Hazrat Nabi Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and Hazrat Shaikhul Hadith Moulana Muhammad Zakariyya رحمه الله coming to visit him. Hazrat Shaikh رحمه الله was on a wheel chair and Nabi Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم was pushing him. During these days Hazrat Haji Sahib رحمه الله requested that a turban be tied for him whilst in bed. His household also mention that a few hours before his demise, Haji Sahib was meeting and greeting invisible creations and was speaking to them in Arabic.
Many months prior to his demise, his Khalifah, Mufti Ayoob Jeena حفظه الله and his son would come home to meet him daily before the Maghrib Salaah and conduct a Majlis of Zikr. As per the habit, this action continued on the Thursday of his passing away. After the Esha Salah, many devotees came to meet him. Amongst them was Hazrat Moulana Zubair Malik Madni حفظه الله (The younger brother of Hazrat Moulana Abdul Hafeez Makki رحمه الله and the Khalifah of Moulana Yusuf Motala رحمه الله) who recited the forty Durood and Salaam in a special and loud tone.
A few hours prior to his passing away, Hazrat Haji Sahib رحمه الله told his daughter that he saw Hazrat Nabi Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم on one side of his bed and Hazrat Shaikh Zakariyya رحمه الله on the other side as if they had come to fetch him. At the time of tahajjud, he recited the kalimah and passed away. إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون His face was bright and body gave off a fragrance which was perceived by all those present. It was at 3:30AM, the first Jumah of the month of Rajab in Madinah Munawwarah. The English date was the 11th February 2022 (coinciding with the 10th of Rajab 1443) and he was 85 years old.

One who knows Haji Ahmad Nakhuda or reads his biography will understand his commitment to the Sunnah of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم and Durood Shareef. These qualities generally grant a person honour in this world, at the time of death and Aakhirah. The room of Moulana Faizul Hasan رحمه الله, and the qabr of the author of Dalaailul Khairaat emitted a special fragrance. This was due to their attachment to the institution of Durood Shareef.
